The Acer Aspire V5 series is a welcomed edition to the ever increasing world of portable devices, boasting laptop form and tablet functionality. Packed with Microsoft’s latest operating system, Windows 8. The Acer V5 has a modest 15.6 inch touch screen with a maximum resolution of 1366 x 768, plenty to benefit from the ‘touch feature rich’ Windows 8. However we felt that the large touch-screen was great, but was lacking in colour and visual quality.

Acer Aspire Timelinex as1830t Review
This little mini is a good quality laptop, some people love it for travel because of how compact it is and others just need an affordable laptop and like how light and small it is. The tiniest product of the Acer Aspire Timelinex line, these little guys pack a nice punch for its size. It weighs in at a little over three pounds but has a speedy processor and comes equipped with the latest windows 7. Even though it’s small it has a GREAT battery life and works well with most applications.
Samsung Series 5 3G Chromebook Review
If you like a fast boot up, a long battery life and access to all of your favorite applications then you will love the new Samsung Chromebook Series 5. It looks like a small laptop, but it is really a new innovation called a Chromebook.
What’s a Chrome Book?
The operating system is based on Google’s Chrome, which has a streamlined user interface with the Internet and boots up in only 8 seconds. Why so fast? It’s because all of the applications, software, documents, and settings are stored in the cloud. If you are unfamiliar with cloud computing, it means that all of these are stored in a server located elsewhere from your Chromebook.
Toshiba Satellite L755-S5271 Review
This laptop has come out this year and got popular really fast, but there is a reason why it’s on Amazons best selling list. If you have seen some of my other posts you know that I like Toshiba. I’m using a Toshiba at the moment to write this review so I could be a little biased with this one. It wouldn’t be on Amazons best selling if it wasn’t a quality laptop though, reviews are good on this one. This has a really nice clear screen and is light weight to match. It’s a quick one for it’s price point, it has a 2.1 GHz Intel Dual Processor that can handle a lot of processing. It’s great if you’re on a budget too because it has some eco-saving features that can save you money on electricity like the LED lit screen. It also comes with Windows 7 which also helps the graphics look nicer. Now I’ll go into some of the Pros and Cons of this machine.
Toshiba nb505-n508bl Review
The Toshiba nb505-n508bl is a good overall laptop that for it’s price does what most people will need. It’s been on the best sellers list on Amazon for a reason, and has some really good features. It’s really portable and light, if you’re looking for a good laptop that travels for under $300 have a look at this one. It has over 8 Hours
of battery life and a good size hard drive of 250GB. Comes with Windows 7, wireless connectivity and some other nice features. I have a Toshiba myself and love them, I’m getting close to getting a new one and I’m thinking about getting this for my travel laptop. I couldn’t find too many negatives with this one.
HP G7 Review – Hewlett Packard 17.3 Inch
Hewlett Packard makes quality laptops and the G7 is a laptop that came out recently. I have always liked the HP’s myself and never had a problem with them, I would say my favorites are HP and Toshiba. So when I found out about this coming out and also that it has a 17 inch screen I was pretty excited. The screen is really nice and clear and comes with Windows 7 so it makes it even clearer. The screen is High-Def which adds good value. If you’re into bigger screens that look nice than you want to have a look at this one.
